Kinetic Balance

Event

This project fuses science and art to explore climate changethrough a unique, hands-onand funexperience that brings together physicsand geometrical shapes.

At its core, participants build kinetic sculptures, mobiles that leverage the principle of equilibrium, to visually represent the relationship between factors that increase or decrease CO₂ emissions. During the activity, participants assemble their mobiles while directly engaging with fundamental physics concepts like the moment of force, fulcrum, and equilibrium. The resulting sculptures are displayed on a large structure, creating a vibrant, colorful, and evolving display that fosters scientific thinking and inspires creative problem-solving.
